Fast scoring at Irwell
The bat dominated the ball in an Ellesmere sub-association cricket match at Irwell last Saturday — 465 runs being scored in just 320 minutes before the home : team clinched a dramatic win against Leeston. 1 Irwell was set 261 runs to win ■in 90 minutes, plus '2O overs. It ’achieved its target in the last over, thanks largely to a superb 164 not out by Errol Saunders. Lincoln extended its competition lead with a four-wicket win against second-placed Burnham ;A and Southbridge A ended a run of losses with victory, by a /.similar margin, against Springs■tdn. . ■ Dunsandel showed improved jfotm from the first day to beat ' Lincoln High School.
