$250,000 in debts

Two Nelson companies, McSherry Export and Trading Company, Ltd, and McSherry Export Kilns, Ltd, have debts amounting to more than $250,000, not $25,000 as reported earlier this week.' Mr Ross Anderson, managing director of F. L. Anderson, Ltd, a Blenheim milling firm, who chaired a meeting of about 30 of the 65 creditors of the two firms, said yesterday that the two companies were in serious financial difficulties. So far, about 60 per cent of the creditors had agreed to his company’s suggestion ,that it try to trade both McSherry companies out of difficulties, he said.
