Japanese restaurant
A Japanese restaurant, to be on the first floor of the Mutual Funds House, at the corner of Colombo Street and Gloucester Street, has been granted a licence by the Licensing Control Commission. The Asuka Restaurant, Ltd, had applied to the commission for a food and entertainment licence for the premises, which, the commission was told, would include a main dining room, capable of accommodating 90 diners, A formal dining room seating 36, and a reception and lounge area, capable of seating a maximum of 16. The licence would be issued when the premises are completed in accordance with fire, police, health, and local authority requirements, the commission said, in a reserved decision announced this week. There were no objections to the application.
