Cider cup This is one of the “less sweet" tangy flavoured types of drinks that can be more thirst quenching than the sweeter drinks. It must be well chilled.. You need: */2 cup fresh mint leaves 2 x 750 ml bottles cider 2250 ml bottles dry ginger ale 1 xBsoml can pineapple juice Method: Crush the mint leaves well and put them in a large jug or container. Pour on the cider and the pineapple juice: cover and refrigerate forseveral hours. Just before serving add the well chilled ginger ale. Rhubarb cordial This, as the name implies, is a cordial which is made up and bottled. Serve it diluted with soda water or for those who prefer it. lemonade. It will keep in a refrigerator for at least a week. You need:

8 cups chopped rhubarb 1 large lemon 2 cups sugar 3 cups water Method: Put rhubarb, sugar, finely grated rind of lemon and the juice of the lemon in saucepan. Add water and stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boil; cover pan and simmer very gently for 15 minute?. Leave to cool then strain and bottle. Patio party punch An attractive drink of the type with floating sliced fruit. If mint or borage is readily available, a stalk can be added to each glass when serving.
