Mt Cook airline near top

The airline division of Mount Cook Line has finished among the top six world airlines rated on a productivity basis in the American magazine, “Air Transport World.” The rating is of International Air Transport Association members and based on figures compiled by I.A.T.A. and the International Civil Aviation Organisation. Mount Cook Line is in sixth place with 872 passenger boardings per employee for 1980. First place is held by the American airline, Braniff International, with 1007 passenger boardings. For the first time, Mount Cook also features in the-. “top 10" charter percentages table, in eighth place. Of the total number of passengers carried in 1980 by Mount Cook, about 23 per cent came from charters or special flights.
