Open Day at Theatre Royal
An Open Day will be held on Sunday at’ the Theatre Royal so that the people of Christchurch can see the renovations and redecorations. The theatre will be open from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Sunday. Tours will be conducted backstage and refreshments will be available. A small contribution from each person as an entrance fee will be sought by the organisers, the Friends of the Theatre Royal. Much of the work done at the theatre since the exten- ■ sivb renovation work began has been backstage, and unseen by the public, and so the Friends of the Theatre Royal are making the Open Day an opportunity for those interested in the work to have a look.
