Couple jailed
A couple who battered and neglected their child until he died alone in a freezing bedroom have each been jailed for five years by the Norwich Crown Court. Christina Caesar, aged 25, and her lover, Andrew Clark, aged 24, said the child suffered his injuries in accidents. The Court was told that in the months before his death the baby was seen many times by doctors and social workers but in spite of his severe injuries they did not think the evidence was strong enough to take him from his parents. — Norwich.
