PA Auckland Air New Zealand would expect to be told if any investigation was necessary over the DCIO engines, said an airline spokesman yesterday.
He was commenting on an American report that the Federal Aviation Administration was investigating the aircraft because of an engine failure which occurred during the take-off of an Air Florida DCIO at Miami, last September. The aircraft abandoned the take-off safely. The Air New Zealand spokesman said the investigation would be of the engine rather than the aircraft.
