Duty Point given 56.5 kg in Cup
PA Auckland Drum having been declared a non-runner. an eight-year-old. Duty Point, is effectively top weight with 56.5 kg„ in the Auckland Cup on January 1. Mr Syd Tonks has awarded last season’s winner 59.5 kg. but it was announced last week that, because of injury. Drum would be given a long spell. Duty Point is from Woodville. Another eight-year-old from that centre. Orchidra, has 55kg and is the highest-weighted mare. The four-year-old Prince Majestic, with 56kg. comes between Duty Point and Orchidra. He is the’ youngest of the 115 entries in their weight order.
