200th medal for junior marcher

Julie Reed, the leader of the McVicar Guards junior marching team won her 200th medal at the Christchurch Association s championship on Sunday. However, her effort was not sufficient to give her team a win. Victory went to Newmans Acme Pioneers bv 49 points. Newmans Acme Pioneers also won the senior section narrowly from McAlpine Stars but it had a clear-cut 281-point margin over Sockburn Motors Lasers in the midget section.
