NZPA-Reuter New York A three-man tribunal which met on Friday to consider an appeal by John McEnroe against the SUSSOOO fine imposed on him during his Wimbledon win this year will not announce its decision until next month. The Wimbledon Tournament Committee recommended that the champion be fined $lO,OOO but the Men’s International Professional Council reduced the amount by half. The council’s arbitration panel on Friday discussed McEnroe’s behaviour at Wimbledon for most of the day but postponed judgment to await additional submissions, The meeting was closed to the news media at McEnroe’s request. • McEnroe, aged 22, is serving a 21-day suspension from grand prix tournaments fortopping $5OOO dollars in fines during the last 12 months. In last week’s London Grand Prix tournament he was fined $7OO for his behaviour during his five-set defeat by Jimmy Connors in the final.
