This was the scene at the finish line for yesterday’s twentieth annual “Kon Tiki raft expedition” held at the Estuary. Groups included Scouts, Girl Guides, Rangers, Venturers, and Rovers. Each had to design a raft which could sail from the boat ramp at Redcliffs to the Mount Pleasant Yacht Club. Most of the 70 rafts took about an hour and a half to finish the course and participants were marked on ingenuity in designing the raft, water safety knowledge, and a cook-up held beiore the expedition.
