The Commercial Bank of Australia building in Hereford Street which will open for business on November 23. Built by Fletcher Development and Construction, Ltd, at a cost of about $2.4 million, the building features a tower block of four storeys of offices over two floors of banking area. A dome allows light into the first floor area, with a circular hole in the floor leading down to the circular banking chamber. Work on the reinforced concrete structure began in January last year.
