NZPA-Reuter Melbourne I’he veteran, Bob Charles, was keeping New Zealand hopes alive after the second round of the Australian Open golf championship at Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne yesterday. Charles, the 1963 British Open winner, came right back into the picture yesterday with a one under par round of 71. This helped him retrieve some of the first day's lost ground, when he shot a two over par 74. Although Charles is still one over the card for the two rounds, he is still in the firing line with two rounds remaining. John Lister, who was promin-
