Guilty on nine counts
After deliberating for more than 14 hours, a jury in the High Court early this morning found Kay Patricia Evans, aged 28. a housewife, guilty on nine charges of defrauding D. M. Bain and Sons. Ltd. by drawing cheques on her husband's
imprest expense account with the firm. Evans, who had pleaded not guilty to 162 such charges, involving more than $lB,OOO, was remanded by Mr Justice Roper on bail to December 2 for sentence.
