BORTHWICK - CWS, LTD FEUDING FREEZING WORKS REQUIRE SLAUGHTERBOARD BOARDWALKER THIS STAFF POSITION involves the supervision of mutton butchers and labourers in the slaughtering and dressing of sheep and lamb carcases to prescribed hygiene and quality standards. A pre-requisite to this position will be previous supervisory experience. In addition it would also be preferable that such applicants have previous experience in a freezing works, particularly related to such slaughtering and dressing activities. Tertiary qualifications would also be advantageous. New Zealand Electricity A division of the Ministry of Energy CAREERS IN STEAM POWER PLANT OPERATION: HUNTLY POWER STATION THE JOBS: Commensurate with experience and qualifications appointment will be as Operating Assistant or Auxiliary Plant Operator involved in the generation of steam power plant, comprising four 250 megawatt boiler turbine-generator units, having steam conditions of 169 bar, 541 deg C. main steam and reheat steam to 46 bar 541 deg C. THE APPLICANTS: Should have experience that will enable them to qualify for Ministry of Transport Certificates of Competency — Boiler attendant, 2nd or Ist Class Stationary Engine Driver Certificate or have served a mechanical fitting apprenticeship or experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy rotating plant or marine engineering. Assistance and encouragement will be given with study toward the required qualifications. Divisional training modules are conducted for all levels of development which successful appointees will be required to attend. Applicants must have the academic ability to successfully complete Divisional Modular Training requirements. THE PROSPECTS: Depending on ability and performance, promotion is available to higher operating positions and eventually to station management.
