THE APPLICANTS: Should have experience that will enable them to qualify for Ministry of Transport Certificates of Competency — Boiler attendant, 2nd or Ist Class Stationary Engine Driver Certificate or have served a mechanical fitting apprenticeship or experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy rotating plant or marine engineering. Assistance and encouragement will be given with study toward the required qualifications. Divisional training modules are conducted for all levels of development which successful appointees will be required to attend. Applicants must have the academic ability to successfully complete Divisional Modular Training requirements. THE PROSPECTS: Depending on ability and performance, promotion is available to higher operating positions and eventually to station management.
