Trials on monkeys
Sir,—lt is to the credit of the Rev. Francis Rosendale (November 11) that he is a member of the anti-vivisection movement. Members of the movement are motivated by one of the most basic Christian qualities, compassion, which has led them to condemn the abuse and exploitation of primates and domestic animals in laboratory exnerimentiriE'. As
Mr Rosendale indicates, the church leaders appear to be ignoring the issue. In the story of “The Good Samaritan" the issue was also ignored. It is to be hoped that the Rev. Rosendale is the vanguard of a greater Christian awareness of an injustice that cannot be overlooked or pushed aside.— Yours, etc., J. SHARP. November 12, 1981.
