Nardin’s Byrd sold

The American-bred stallion. Nardin's . Byrd, which was imported to New Zealand in 1977 and has been standing at Mr Sam Ballantyne's Eastwood Lodge Stud, at Prebbleton. since then, has been sold to Australian breeders. Nardin's Byrd's future as a sire will be at the Cross Kevs Stud of Messrs L. C. Gung and W. Homburg, in Ararat. Victoria. Nardin’s Byrd, the winner of $500,000 in stakes in the United States and the sire of several two-minute performers in that country, was the first standardbred sire to stand at a fee of $lOOO in New Zealand. Nardina’s Byrd, whose oldest crop racing in New Zealand are three-year-olds, has also been represented successfully in Australia. His sale was negotiated by Wrightson Bloodstock, Ltd.
