Sir.—l take strong exception to the assertion by Mr Hemsley in his letter (October 16) that board members treat the Harbourmaster and pilots with "contempt,” but I fully agree with Mr Hemsley's opinion of our Harbourmaster and pilots. They have an excellent safety record of bringing tankers of all sizes into the oil wharf over more years than I can remember.
