Wolfenden for Perth

PA Auckland New Zealand’s leading reinsma'n, Peter Wolfenden, is to participate in an international drivers’ championship at Gloucester Park, Perth, on Friday, December 11. Wolfenden will be back home in Auckland the next day to fulfil engagements at the Thames meeting at Alexandra Park.

The three-race mobile series, based on a points system, will feature five of the world’s leading reinsmen.

Apart from Wolfenden, the others are the current world champion, Ulf Thoresen (Norway), Carlo Bottoni (Italy), and the American pair of John Campbell and Jim Doherty. The five international drivers will compete against the first three placegetters in the West Australian Champion Drivers series to be staged next month.
