Atlas in profit
Atlas Majestic Industries, Ltd, is back in profit, shareholders were told at the annual meeting. ■On Saturday “The Press” printed a press association report from Auckland under the heading ‘Atlas close to brink'. This should have read ‘Atlas was close to brink’. Be--cause of a computer hiccup this heading received more prominence than intended, and by a further extraordinary coincidence the last paragraph —. which explained it all — was omitted. This paragraph read: “Mr A. T. Gibbs said that he had never seen a company come so close to the brink and pull through as had done AMI. “In my opinion, we were in a worse position than Alosgiel,” he said.
The errors causing the confusion in our previous article are regretted.
