Ellesmere tops cricket table

Ellesmere topped the points table after the first section of men's round-robin play in the Canterbury Cricket Association's annual indoor tournament at the Pioneer Stadium. The team was unbeaten after four matches in the A.N.Z. Bank-sponsored event and with the second - best qualifier. Suburban, will now play the top two teams from section two in the finals on September 27.
