PA Palmerston North Napier was two minutes away from causing', a big upset in the national basketball championships at Palmerston North yesterday. The team led,..the national champion, Canterbury. until the last two minutes, dr their match. In fact at; half-time Napier was 37-33 up. However, Canterbury made an impressive comeback 18 minutes

into the second half, when it was trailing by one! point, and eventually won 68-63. For Canterbury John Hill was the top scorer with 17 while Tom Demarcus was top for Napier scoring 20.
