Harsh view of HART
NZPA Sydney An Aboriginal activist. Mr Gary Foley, has had harsh words to’ say about the leaders of the HART group.
On his return to Australia from New Zealand, where he took part in . demonstrations against the Springbok tour. Mr Foley said that CHART’S leaders were a “pack of lilywhite, little' liberals." ■ He told the "Australian" newspaper-- that the recent non-violent protest, at Palmerston North .was an example -of “white organisers going to water.” Mr Foley, who is the secretary of the National Aboriginal and Islander Health Organisation, -said that in spite of the-pacifist tendencies of HART’s organisers, the -Springbok tour was set for a “detonation which will make events at Hamilton and Gisborne look insignificant.” ,1 ..
“When the tour gets to Wellington » and Auckland, that.is when the bloodshed is going to erupt. Then there could be some deaths."
