New-look Cressida

This year's Toyota Cressida (above) has been redesigned.

The first Cressida was introduced in June 1979, and replaced the Crown.

This year's model has a new two-litre engine, newstyling. power-assisted steering. an adjustable steering

column rake, and electric windows.

In keeping with the Cressida's rather compact styling. the vehicle’s length has been reduced by 20mm. but interior (cabin) space has been increased slightly.

The manual version costs $17,750 and the automatic $18,500.
