The key to the type of business that Ebos was involved in was in having good representation in the field, and that was the reason why the company was doing so welL
The image of Ebos had
been improvihg, and a number of overseas companies were approaching Ebos to get it to act.as their New Zealand agents, he said. However, the problem was that the New Zealand market was small and the number of companies in the market were few, so that often Ebos W being offered competing agencies for the type of product it already carried.
Small companies, often involving one? or two persons, sometimes took up these offers, and consequently Ebos’s market was being nibbled at they sides by them.
“But wes believe we can handle this situation.”
The agencies that were being offered would be accepted by» Ebos when it was considered appropriate, to further diversify the company, and give the shareholders a better return, he said.
