There are now 13 children of members living in remote areas receiving W.D.F.F. assistance of $3OO a year (for up to four years) to attend secondary school Among the topics coming forward for. discussion is the setting up of a proposed W.D.F.F. charitable trust. Remits will discuss wide ranging topics such as the need for school children to have at least one full medical examination at both primary ? and secondary /■levels, and a request for all costs of essential health

treatment and aids, not already covered by health or hospital services, to be made tax deductible. There will also be calls for the abolition of estate duties, and a yearly registration of "" active Justices of the Peace. The New Zealand Wool Board prizes for an annual competition to promote the use of wool, and to demonstrate and encourage handicraft skills, will be presented.
