Lincoln wins ‘see-sawing’ match
In a see-sawing match, Lincoln beat Sheffield. 12-7. in the Ellesmere Combined senior rugby competition on Saturday. It was a question of a powerful Lincoln pack opposed by an organised and adventurous Sheffield back-line. Prominent in the Sheffield pack was a prop. Kerry Paulin, who was ably supported by Cart Ferguson and Stuart and Quentin Wright. For Lincoln. Eddie Kerr, Lindsay Norton. Donald Cameron and Struan Ley all played purposefully in the pack.’ Behind the .scrums, the Sheffield team displayed more cohesion than its opponent both in passing and running. For Lincoln.
