Prisoner slips out

PA ; - Wellington A thin man “slipped out” from the Wellington Central Police Station on Saturday afternoon —: through a 15cm gap between the cell bars. The escaper, John Andrew Jamieson, aged 24, had been arrested on various charges on Friday night. He squeezed through the cell bars while he was meant to .be having a shower.

The police believe that Jamieson, of. slim build, medium height, and lightbrown hair, slipped through the grille after soaping himself. He was wearing only a pair of jeans. The police were seeking him last evening.
