Kennedy graduation
Joan Kennedy received her master’s degree in education as her estranged husband, Senator Edward Kennedy, looked on. He was joined by their three children as Mrs Kennedy, aged 45, received her diploma at Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachussetts. Mrs Kennedy is an accomplished pianist who specialises in music education. The award concluded three years of study she has said was “the beginning of a whole new life for me.” It was one of the few times Mr and Mrs Kennedy have been seen together in public since January when they announced plans to end their 22-year marriage in divorce.—Boston.
