Wil Hartog to retire
The well-known Dutch road-racer, Wil Hartog, has decided to retire.
Hartog, 32, will concentrate on his family's farming business in the north of the Netherlands.
Hartog, (whose mechanic was a former Christchurch man, (Mike Sinclair), said sifter completing the West German grand prix, that because the machinery supplied by the Suzuki factory was inferior to that used hy the other team members, Graeme Crosby, Randy Mainola and Marco Luchinelli, he had decided “not to race another yard.”
Although never a world champion, Hartog won plenty of grand prix.
