Pigeon results
A bird owned by G. Evertson and handed by R.’ Lindsay won the 1981 Young Bird National pigeon race from Marton to Christchurch recently. The winner covered • the 456 km in six hours at an average speed of 1241.511. There were 81(1 pigeons from 86 lofts entered and the race was held in light winds.
