Mitterrand wish

The new French President (Mr Francois Mitterrand) in a message to the Soviet President (Mr Leonid Brezhnev) has said he will attach “great importance to maintaining a dialogue” between Paris and Moscow, the Soviet news agency Tass has reported. According to Tass,-Mr Mitterrand sent Mr Brezhnev a message expressing hopes of seeing “the relations of friendship and co-operation between France and the Soviet Union strengthen and thereby contribute to the consolidation of mutual understanding and security in Europe and in the world.”—Moscow.
