Nuffield bursars announced
PA Dunedin The three New Zealand recipients of the 1981 Nuffield Foundation bursaries have been announced. They are the Rev. K. G. Irwin, director of the Presbyterian Social Services Association (Otago), Mr R. Ketko, director of social work development in ’•the Department of Social Welfare, Wellington, and Mr D. R. Page, senior rehabilitation officer for the Rehabilitation League in Auckland. The Nuffield Foundation offers United Kingdom travel bursaries for New Zealand citizens working in nursing, education, and welfare to study practices and conditions in their professional fields.
Programmes will be arranged for the bursars with the assistance of the British Council. The bursary provides a return air fare and travel and maintenance costs for a three to four month programme in the United Kingdom.
