History of blindness researched
. Auckland Researchers for the Blind. Foundation are looking for old documents and artefacts to help them map the history of blindness, in New Zealand. The search started when
the foundations board oi trustees decided to collect material for a book on the history of blindness to coincide with the. foundation’s centenary in 1991:. • The secretary, of the foundation, ;Mr Michael Reid,
who is co-orainating the research, said that because of some of the items already uncovered the foundation would like to establish a museum or archive of the early days of blindness in New Zealand.
