Mining seminar
All applications for mining rights should be subject to full Town and Country Planning Act procedures and full information about rights and objections' should be available to the public, says the Campaign Against Foreign Control, which held a public seminar in Christchurch on Saturday on mining. A spokesman for the cam-
paign, Mr Murray Horton, said that 73 per cent of all prospecting and mininglicence applications had come from five multinational corporations, which was disturbing. About 30 people attended the seminar, including representatives of other organisations.
