West Coast girl in squash squad
An 18-year-old West Coast girl, Adele Ellery, is the most interesting new face in the Canterburymen's and women’s training squad’s for the national inter-district squash teams event at Auckland in August. Miss Ellery, who made her debut for the Canterbury junior girls’ team last season, will receive financial assistance to travel to Christchurch for training on some week-ends. Kathy Hargreaves, a former nationally ranked player, returns to the women's squad while Robbie Burnett, Robin Clements, and Mark Crosbie are the new faces in the. men's squad. The final teams, which will be managed by Messrs Les Milne (women) and Alan Dunlop (men).
