The programmes from Seven Seas Television would be non-denominational and. the group hopes that funds to produce and buy programmes would be raised by public support for the incorporated society. Another of the group’s members, Mr Peter McLeod, .a Wellington lawyer, said .that the public support for the Christian radio station, Radio Rhema, had encouraged the group to include .Christian values .in another .branch ;of the media. ; 1 The stricture ' of Seven Seas . Television will follow .that of Radio Rhema. It will . be an incorporated society and the board will be appointed by the five founding members. , 7, '’ ; The board would appoint a full-time executive director and as the society would be
non-profit making, it would seek charitable status for tax relief, said Mr Lambert.
