Some lambs up
From Monday farmers will receive from 2c to 4c a kilogram more for five grades of lamb meat. These increases were announced yesterday by exporters. The price for the meat of Alpha lambs will be higher by 4c, for YL and YM lambs by 3c and for PX and PH by 2c. Since early in April tne price for ; Alpha lambs has increased by- 8e a kilogram, for the YL and YM lambs by 7c and for the PX and PH by 6c. Reflecting an improvement in both wool and pelt values the prices for all woolly and shorn Jamb skins and also sheep skins have been increased. A woolly lamb skin with a kilogram of wool will be up by 10c to 137 c; with I.skg of wool the lift is 15c to 212 c and a skin with 2kg of wool will be worth 20c more at 287 c. For a shorn lamb skin with o.2kg of wool the price next week will be 10c higher at 21c, where the wool pull is o.skg the price is up by 10c to 42c and if the skin has a kilogram of wool the price is better by 13c at 112 c. A sheep skin with "half a kilogram of wool is up by 10c to 55c, with a kilogram of wool the new price is 135 c, which is up by 13c, and with’ I.skg of wool the price will be 215 c, which is up by 14c.
Lamb meat prices next week will be: PL. 8 to 12.5 kg, 108 c per kg; PM. 13 to 16kg. 115 c; PX, 16.5 to 19.5 kg. 119 c; PH. 16.5 to 19.5 kg. 108 c. PHH, 20 to 25.5 kg, 99c; YL. 8 to 12.5 kg, 114 c: YM, 13 to 16kg, 119 c: OL, 8 to 12.5 kg. 104 c; OM, 13 to 16kg, 110 c; A. 8 to 12.5 kg, 98c; F, 8 to 25.5 kg, 46c; CIL, up to 12.5 kg. 51c; CIM, over 12.5 kg, 61c; C2. all weights. 46c; M, all weights. 10.5 c. The supplementary payments to enable meat companies to maintain minimum prices on beef next week will be 19c a kilogram on manufacturing beef, which is a rise of 3c, and 4c for bull which is an increase of Ic.
