Red Cross appeal
Sir, The annual Red Cross house-to-house appeal held on Saturday in Christchurch and surrounding country areas is expected to result in nearly $75,000, or about $lOOO above the 1980 total. The society is most grateful for this tremendous expression of public support. The society would like to thank sincerely the many hundreds of adults and school children who gave their services as collectors or organisers. — Yours, etc., J. R. MAHONEY, Secretary-manager, North Canterbury Centre, New Zealand Red Cross Society. May 4, 1981.
