Levin dale changed
PA Wellington The Levin Racing Club has changed its November date. Booked for November 11, the meeting has now been put forward a week to November 18. This is the day on which ; the Levin Club will run the' $lOO,OOO Turf Classic. The change has been made to make sure that there is no clash with the Canterbury Jockey Club. The Turf Clas-I sic is for three-year-olds andi the Canterbury meeting, part! of the traditional Cup week, runs both the Two Thousand and the One Thousand Guineas, principal races for three-year-olds. . The secretary of the Levin. Racing Club, Mr Jim Watters, said the change of date, had been brought about be-, cause of co-operation with' the Woodville club. | Woodville will now hold; its race meeting on Wednesday, November 11. i The move was made, Mr Watters said, not because of 1 any outside pressure, but: simply to ease the hurdon on both Levin and Canteri bury.
