P and ° enters cruise pact
P and 0 (N.Z.), Ltd. and the I Kerridge Odeon Corporation have I reached an agreement to provide * tourist cruises on Auckland Har- I hour and a regular service to the Pakatoa Island resort owned by Kerridge Odeon. 1 Initially, the companies will employ the launch Te Kotuku, a twin- ■ screw fully licensed vessel capable I of carrying 150 passengers at a speed of 16 knots. The service will be augmented by the launch Paroa i which arrived at Auckland from the Bay of Islands late last month. , The Paroa can carry 61 passengers at 17 knots and, like To Kotuku, is 1 fully licensed, provides a hostess service, and has light refreshments and souvenirs for sale. , Besides the transport of both day visitors and guests to Pakatoa Island, both launches will offer a regular pattern of sightseeing ( cruises and will be available for charter for cocktail parties, social club outings, and dine-and-dance ; evenings.
