Migration gain
PA Wellington During the 11 months from April 1 last, there has been a net migration gain to population of 4877 compared with a loss of 6640 for the corresponding period from April, 1979, says the Statistics Department. However, for the year ended February 28, 1981, there was a net migration loss of 10,782 compared with a loss of 24,404 for the previous year. In February, 1981, the net migration gain to population: was 6041. In . February last year it was 1208. The department notes these figures are provisional and will be replaced by final figures when more detailed processing is completed.
