Sir,—Spot the error? A.A. Canterbury sign, Mouse Point corner: Hamner Springs 31km.—Yours, etc., M. J. POPPLEWELL. March 23, 1981.
[The Chief Service ‘ Officer for the Automobile Association, Canterbury (Mr H. E. Daniel) said that the mistake has been noticed. A replacement sign is in stock and will be put up the next time an officer is in the .area. He said that misspellings occurred occasionally and that one sign with the same mistake had stood in the Lewis Pass for 11 years before it was noticed.]
