NZPA Peking China has said that Taiwan’s decision to compete under a new flag, name, and emblem “is consistent with the spirit of oneChina.” The -China Sports Federation issued a brief statement on Taiwan’s agreement with the International Olympic Committee to adopt a new flag, emblem, and Olympic committee name. At a meeting at Nagoya in 1979, the 1.0. C. recognised the People’s Repub-
lie of China, and barred Taiwan from competition as long p.s it used the old “Republic of China” flag and name.
