Another casino fire

A thousand gamblers and guests were evacuated when a fire, said by firemen to have been started deliberately, broke out in the Silverbird Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. Three weeks ago eight people died in a fire in the giant Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. A 23-year-old waiter, Philip Cline, has been charged with arson and eight counts of murder. The latest blaze, which began below the Silverbird Hotel stage, was brought under control in half an hour. —Las Vegas.
