Housing declines
PA Wellington Housing construction continues to decline. The Government Statistician Dr J. H. Darwin, sa ; d yesterday that early returns showed that permits for 895 dwellings were issued for January, a drop of 9.3 per cent over January, 1980. Figures provisional in part show that 19,183 building permits were issued in 1979, 15,554 in 1980 and a project 14,607 in 1981.
