Black sheep sell well

Black ~ and coloured sheep had a very satisfactory sale in Christchurch last week. Although about half of the 50 lots offered -were passed in, vendors mainly were pleased with the result. The best price was $360 for a two-tooth ram offered by K. W. Abrams, of Christchurch; The : twotooth rams averaged $125. Two-tooth ewes averaged $36 ($57.50 "top price), ewe lambs averaged $55 ($7O top price) and mixed-age ewes averaged $36 ($7O top price).

Most of the stock was sold to Canterbury buyers.
