Schenley ready for Rotorua

Special correspondent Hastings Schenley hit out strongly in training in Hastings yesterday suggesting he is far from being, a spent force. Fast ' work was mainly confined to the plough. The footing was deep and times were not fast. Schenley did well to run 1000m.on his own in Imin 3.9 sec, the last 600 m in 38.4 sec. He pulled up extremely well and looks in great condition. Hi? trainer, Charlie Cameron, is likely to start Schenley in the Dalgety-New Zealand International Stakes at Te Rapa next Tuesday. Kissenger, which is preparing for the highweight at Woodville on Saturday, worked with Dash over 800 m. The last 600 m took 38.2 sec. Kissenger looks to have freshened well. .
