Spectator injured

NZPA-Reuter Multan, Pakistan Play in the fourth and final cricket test between Pakistan and the West Indies was held up for 20 minutes yesterday after the West Indian fast bowler, Sylvester Clarke, threw a brick into the crowd, knocking a spectator unconscious. Clarke hurled the brick, which was marking the boundary, after being pelted with oranges while fielding in the deep. The brick hit a student, who was carried away on a stretcher and taken to hospital where his condition was later described as satisfactory. Alvin Kallicharran, the West Indian batsman, helped to calm the situation when he went to the front of the stand where the incident had occurred and on bended knees apologised for what had happened.
